Job Summary

Visy is seeking a skilled Paper Machine Operator to join our team at our world-class pulp and paper mill in Tumut. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the optimal running, monitoring, and troubleshooting of plant and equipment within the paper making operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control the paper making process to ensure optimal production and quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to minimize downtime and ensure equipment efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the production team to achieve production targets and maintain a strong safety focus.
  • Develop and implement standards and policies to ensure compliance with OHS&E regulations.

Requirements

  • Completion of Year 12 or Trades Certificate.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within production, manufacturing, or industrial environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven ability to assess, modify, and direct maintenance of plant and equipment as required.
  • Ability to work under physically challenging conditions and maintain a safety-first mindset.
