About the Opportunity

This is a highly rewarding position that allows you to leverage your skills and experience in Occupational Therapy to create positive outcomes for residents. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and review programs that promote independence and quality of life.

Key responsibilities include conducting assessments to identify resident needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and building trusting relationships based on dignity and respect. You will also provide guidance on changing needs and refer residents for additional support when necessary.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist
  • A deep understanding of contemporary Occupational Therapy practices, particularly within the aged care sector
  • The ability to build rapport with older adults, demonstrating empathy and respect in all interactions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
