Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Culinary Director to lead our kitchen operations at Bella Vista Haven Retirement Living. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding dining experiences that exceed resident satisfaction and ensure seamless execution of policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Culinary Leadership: Develop and implement innovative menus, cooking methods, and presentation styles to delight residents and staff alike.
  • Kitchen Management: Supervise and mentor a small, close-knit team to achieve operational excellence, ensuring timely service delivery, food safety, and quality control.
  • Stock Management: Manage inventory effectively, ensuring sufficient supplies of goods while minimizing waste and adhering to ordering schedules.
  • Rostering and Staff Development: Coordinate rosters, manage staff development, and identify training opportunities to enhance employee skills and job satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Certification: Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience in casual dining kitchen settings, preferably in retirement villages, aged care, cafes, or a la carte environments.
  • Qualifications: Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (desired) and minimum two COVID-19 vaccinations (required).

Estimated Annual Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
