This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences that meet the diverse needs and preferences of our residents. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation, presentation, and service, while maintaining the cleanliness and safety of food preparation and consumption areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation and Service: Assist with the preparation, presentation, and serving of resident meals, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and safety of food preparation and consumption areas, including cooking equipment and utensils.
  • Catering and Events: Cater for special occasions such as birthdays, cultural and religious events, meetings, and other functions.
  • Dining Room Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the dining room and adjacent areas in a clean and safe condition.

Requirements:
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen environment is highly desirable.
  • Direction and Flexibility: Willingness to take direction from others and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Reliability and Time Management: Demonstrated reliability and flexibility, with strong time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Qualifications and Certifications: Valid working rights in Australia (passport, birth certificate etc), valid police check, flu vaccinations, and evidence of COVID-19 vaccination.
