At TAFE NSW, we are seeking an experienced Furniture Finishing expert to join our team as a Teacher.

The role involves delivering educational programs and facilitating learning to enable students to achieve their desired outcomes. As a key member of our Allied Timber Trades team, you will be responsible for imparting your technical skills and industry standard safety culture to your students.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Teaching and assessing students in Furniture Finishing
  • Developing and implementing curriculum content
  • Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Certificate III in Furniture Finishing or equivalent qualification
  • Three years' relevant post-qualification industry experience within the last 3-5 years, with at least one year's experience in an Australian workplace context
  • A Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent qualification*

For casual positions, you need a visa that gives you permission to work in Australia. A suitability list may be created for this position, and future opportunities with similar classifications that subsequently become vacant may be filled using this suitability list, which will be valid for three years.
