Mine Geologist Role

We are seeking an experienced Mine Geologist to lead coal mined and crushed performance with a focus on productivity, quality, and handleability through processing.

  • Lead coal recovery in line with reserved tonnages and qualities.
  • Undertake routine pit and stockpile inspections providing guidance and feedback to planning and production teams on coal mining practices.
  • Provide Daily coal mining, stockpiling, and feed plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coal exposure and mining guidance through plans and directly to operations.
  2. Maintain in-pit and ROM coal inventory movements for up-to-date, short-term scheduling.
  3. Maintain and improve reconciliation processes.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Geology or Mining Engineering, with experience in open cut coal mining geology. They should also have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people from all backgrounds.
