Audit and Assurance Manager

This position is crucial for the division, tasked with the effective oversight of projects and personnel. The role demands a high level of research, strategic planning, and the implementation of risk management solutions. Audit managers are also responsible for maintaining extensive client relationships, providing staff training, and coordinating with external parties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and resolve technical accounting and auditing challenges;
- Conduct reviews of audit assignments;
- Examine financial statements to ensure adherence to Accounting Standards and prepare reports and recommendations for management;
- Summarize key engagement areas for the partner;
- Guarantee the completion of each project to a high-quality standard, within budget and ahead of deadlines;
- Manage multiple audit engagements concurrently with various team members;
- Collaborate with the partner to negotiate fees and demonstrate commercial accountability for client profitability;
- Participate in meetings and deliver effective presentations to both staff and clients;
- Assist in the management and coordination of the audit team, including training, mentoring, and adherence to methodologies;
- Monitor staffing needs and future resource planning;
- Support partners in business development and marketing initiatives.
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree in Business or Commerce with a major in Accounting
- Completion of CA or equivalent certification
- 5-7 years of audit experience
- Excellent communication abilities
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong prioritization skills
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Corporations Act 2001, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards, and relevant legislation
