Job Overview

Tree workers are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient trimming or dismantling of trees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs) safely and effectively, along with other handheld tools to guarantee the safe removal of branches and trees.
  • Rotating throughout the day between duties such as maintenance checks, safety inspections, chainsaw operation, and conducting risk assessments.
  • Ensuring efficient and effective tree removal through safe climbing techniques and work practices.
  • Performing competent climbing techniques, clearing vegetation around/near powerlines, conducting risk assessments, and establishing drop zones.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work safely, adaptability to live away from home for extended periods, and a willingness to undergo ongoing training and development opportunities. Available certifications include EWP License, Chainsaw ticket, Chipper ticket, Traffic control, and First aid.

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in using various tools and equipment, including EWPs, chainsaws, and chippers.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in challenging weather conditions.
  • Physical fitness and stamina required for prolonged periods of activity.
