- The Opportunity
- Our client is looking for two highly skilled Health and Safety Officers to manage the health and safety aspects of two new state government projects in the Northern Suburbs, valued at $10-15 million.
- The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel and contractors on site.
The Role
- Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inductions for plant and personnel.
- Review and approve subcontractors' Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Manage and direct subcontractors to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Deliver toolbox talks, conduct site inspections, and report on health and safety performance using the builder's Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Provide ad-hoc support to the site manager, focusing on health and safety matters.
- Ensure the site is clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
Requirements
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a construction OHS role in Australia.
- Availability to start in October.
- Proficiency in IT systems, preferably Hammertech or similar.
Remuneration
Competitive hourly rate ($35 to $45 inclusive of super and penalties).Monday to Saturday working hours.
