About the Role
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking orders accurately and promptly serving food and beverages while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
  • You will also be expected to collaborate with the kitchen team, handle payments efficiently, and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Warmly welcome guests and assist with seating arrangements.
  • Knowledgeably describe menu items and answer questions to ensure informed ordering decisions.
  • Deliver food and drinks promptly and present them according to standard.
  • Regularly check in with diners to ensure they have everything they need and address any concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness by clearing tables, resetting, and restocking as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure accurate food preparation and delivery.
  • Present bills to guests, process payments accurately, and handle cash or card transactions.
  • Suggest additional menu items, specials, or beverages to enhance the dining experience.
  • Address special requests and accommodate guests' needs to the best of your ability.
  • Follow safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of food and beverages, to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails, is essential.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
