Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Swanbank Landfill site. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on a diverse range of vehicles and mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems and more
  • Performing regular servicing, lubrication and preventative maintenance
  • Testing engine performance and fine-tuning for optimal operation
  • Rebuilding engines and fabricating or repairing parts when required
  • Using specialized tools and mechanical equipment to solve problems
  • Responding to breakdowns on-site
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Mobile Plant Mechanic or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of trucks, trailers and mobile equipment
  • Strong mechanical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative, professional team
