Key Position: Technical Lead for Mobile Development

This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to lead the development of our Flutter app and its integration with existing native iOS and Android apps. The ideal candidate will be experienced in leading teams, establishing best practices, and mentoring others.

We are looking for a skilled technical lead who can provide ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and support for existing systems and platforms. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development team to deliver high-quality software solutions;
  • Establishing and enforcing best practices for mobile development;
  • Mentoring and coaching mobile developers to lift technical skills and team capability;
  • Working closely with Product and business stakeholders to design and implement solutions that align with our strategic goals;
  • Overseeing triage and BAU processes to ensure mobile issues are efficiently managed and resolved.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a technical lead and shape the direction of our mobile products. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work across complex systems (mobile, backend, and web) while focusing on architecture and backend depth to support our mobile experience. You will provide technical leadership to guide, mentor, and upskill developers, and collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders, aligning deliverables to the broader organisation objectives.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in mobile development;
  • Deep expertise in Flutter, with strong knowledge of native iOS (preferred) or Android development;
  • Hands on experience with REST APIs and integrating backend services;
  • Proficiency with state management solutions such as Riverpod;
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges, architect resilient solutions, and drive technical excellence;
  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science will be highly regarded.
