About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at In Life Independent Living Ltd. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with complex needs to live independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to our client, including assistance with daily living activities, household tasks, and transportation to activities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong rapport with our client and their family, ensuring their needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Work collaboratively with our client's support team to ensure a seamless and effective support service.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting individuals with complex needs.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting a safe and supportive environment for all clients and staff.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience supporting people with behaviours of concern.
  • Understanding of Trauma Informed Care and experience with key word signing/augmentative communication.
  • Full driver's license and ability to drive clients to activities.
  • Ability to problem solve and think outside the box.
  • Mature outlook on life and a passion for supporting individuals with complex needs.
