About the Role

The Speech Pathologist provides high-quality speech pathology services for Aboriginal children, youth, and their families to optimize their child's development. The position supports children and youth living with a range of disabilities, particularly neurodevelopmental disabilities, including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

This role is specific to the provision of assessment and therapeutic supports to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver culturally responsive speech pathology services to Aboriginal children, youth, and their families.
  • Support children and youth living with neurodevelopmental disabilities, including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Provide assessment and therapeutic supports to NDIS participants.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of culturally responsive speech pathology programs.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in Speech Pathology.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal children, youth, and families.
  • Knowledge of neurodevelopmental disabilities, including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
