The Speech Pathologist provides culturally-responsive high-quality speech pathology services for Aboriginal children, youth, and their families to optimize their child's development.
The position supports children and youth living with a range of disabilities, particularly neurodevelopmental disabilities including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
This role is specific to the provision of assessment and therapeutic supports to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants.
The role is primarily based in Alice Springs; occasional remote travel may be a requirement of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver culturally-responsive speech pathology services to Aboriginal children, youth, and their families.
- Support children and youth living with neurodevelopmental disabilities, including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Provide assessment and therapeutic supports to NDIS participants.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans.
- Contribute to the development of culturally-responsive speech pathology services and resources.
