We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Director of Medical Services to join our team at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and Eastern Sector. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for leading the medical workforce and providing strategic direction and operational management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support a medical workforce of over 300 senior and junior medical officers
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the delivery of medical services
- Ensure the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of medical services
- Meet safety, service, quality education, and accreditation requirements
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to achieve organizational goals
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA) or other appropriate specialist recognition
- Postgraduate qualifications with substantial experience as a DMS in a large base or referral hospital
- Demonstrated extensive experience of clinical leadership and management at an executive/senior level
- High capability in communication, complex negotiation, consultative, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead clinical governance, clinical risk management, and continuous quality improvement management strategies
