The Role

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the operational and technical excellence and performance of the Roads & Highways sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and operational direction to the activities of our Roads & Highways business, giving consideration to the national, region and global strategies.

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to grow the SMEC Infrastructure function through optimal people, commercial, business development, client relationship management and project performance
  • Provide project governance and project management in the local office to achieve reliable project performance in terms of sophistication, timeliness and quality
  • Build trusting and productive client relationships to drive business growth and improve client satisfaction
  • Manage a team effectively for performance and cohesion

The incumbent will embody SMEC values, ethics and code of conduct and ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with these guiding principles.
