Amana Living is a leading provider of aged care services in Western Australia, and we are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team.


The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to residents within our residential care facilities, assessing their therapeutic and enrichment needs, and developing and implementing person-centered interventions to enhance their quality of life and independence.


This is a permanent part-time position, working 2 days a week, 30 hours per fortnight, based at our Edward Collick Home in Kalgoorlie.


To be successful in this role, you will possess a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and previous experience working with people living with dementia.


As an Occupational Therapist with Amana Living, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents, while also contributing to a dynamic and supportive team environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop person-centered care plans.
  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to enhance the quality of life and independence of residents.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of therapeutic activity programs in assigned residential care sites.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Previous experience working with people living with dementia.
  • Evidence of COVID-19 and current 2024 flu vaccinations.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and NDIS Screen.
