Job Overview

NICE is a leading provider of cloud-based systems. We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Systems Engineer Leader to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Manage and deploy Windows Domain and Active Directory environment.
  • Deploy Servers, Public Cloud Compute, and Storage.
  • Maintain server system and file security.
  • Manage Lab and Production Infrastructure.
  • Perform OS level Patching.
  • Perform Systems and Hardware Level Upgrades.
  • Deploy, Configure, and Maintain Physical Storage (SAN).
  • Monitor and optimize performance of servers.
  • Manage Virtualization Environments.
  • Maintain documentation of Environment and Processes.
  • Work with vendors to troubleshoot problems and RMA parts as needed.
  • Manage and deploy Linux server installations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience leading projects and delivering solutions through completion.
  • 2+ years working in a Public Cloud environment.
  • 3+ years managing and deploying Windows OS Servers preferably in a production environment.
  • 3+ years managing and deploying Windows domains, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and IIS.
  • 3+ years performing and management of OS patching.
  • 3+ years installing/configuring server hardware and OS.
  • 5+ years managing and deploying virtual environments.
  • 2+ years managing physical storage and SAN.
  • 3+ years managing and deploying blade servers/Enterprise Compute.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with engineering operations or enterprise operations.
  • Experience successfully working in fast-paced, production environments.
  • Experience working within a team of IT professionals; taking and following direction and completing tasks and assignments in a timely manner with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have good attention to detail, and the ability to make good, timely decisions.
  • Be a Team-player, have a positive attitude, and able to work with a distributed team in multiple time zones.
  • Knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, SMTP, and SNMP.
  • Be a self-starter who is proactive, motivated, and can work independently.
  • Experience with Chef or similar technologies.

Bonus Requirements

  • Configuration and management of HP Enterprise Servers and/or Cisco UCS.
  • Experience working with config management and automation technologies.
  • Comfortable working with changing timelines and deadlines.
  • Experience working with CloudFormation.
  • Experience with Linux Server deployment and administration.
  • Experience working in a global production environment.
