Precision Metalworking Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work on precise fitting, assembly, and machining of metal components used in production machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Study technical drawings and specifications to identify materials and required processes.
  • Fitting and assembling fabricated metal parts and subassemblies to create complete machinery.
  • Operating machine tools (e.g. lathes, grinders, milling machines) to shape and finish components.
  • Maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and performing fault diagnosis and routine operational maintenance.
  • Assisting in the erection and installation of machinery and production systems when required.
  • Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent is required.
  • Strong proficiency in interpreting technical diagrams and performing precision measurements.
  • Competence in operating various metalworking machines and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their installation is necessary.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar fitter and turner or mechanical trades role is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a fabrication or maintenance team is required.
  • Commitment to safety standards and workshop best practices is a must.
