Academic Researcher and Educator in Electrical and Electronic Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Researcher and Educator in Electrical and Electronic Engineering to join our team at The University of Adelaide. This is a continuing (tenure-track) academic role that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct high-quality research in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with a focus on one of the following areas: Information Systems, Control, Autonomous Systems, and Computer Engineering; Communication Engineering; Power, Energy, and Sustainability; Medical and Health Engineering; or Quantum Engineering.
- Teach and coordinate courses in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with a focus on undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise and mentor postgraduate students in their research projects.
- Engage with industry and external research organisations to develop research collaborations and partnerships.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and pedagogical innovation in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
- PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, with expertise in a recognised specialisation.
- Demonstrated research ability that supports the School's research strengths.
- Record of research achievements as evidenced by publications in high-quality journals or conference proceedings.
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively using evidence-based pedagogy that promotes student learning.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English with both students and staff.
- Ability to work as part of a team and assert a positive influence on School culture.
- Ability to carry out administrative duties, as directed by the Head of School, effectively and efficiently.
