Are you a highly motivated pharmacy professional looking for a challenging role in alcohol and drug services?

The Alcohol and Drug Services team is seeking a Specialist Pharmacist to join their multidisciplinary team. As a Specialist Pharmacist, you will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in the clinical area and act as a resource pharmacist for the particular area of speciality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in the clinical area
  • Act as a resource pharmacist for the particular area of speciality
  • Work within Alcohol and Drug policies for the provision of services to the Pharmacotherapy and the Inpatient Withdrawal Unit
  • Dispense and dose for Pharmacotherapy patients on a daily basis
  • Dispense medications for patients being discharged from the Inpatient Withdrawal Units
  • Provide information and education to staff and clients on Consumer Medication Information
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
  • Eligible for provisional registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia for pre-registration (intern) pharmacists

The successful applicant will have a tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Pharmacy Board of Australia or completion of an overseas qualification eligible for skills assessment through the Australian Pharmacy Council.

  • Salary range $110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata)
