Job Title: Environmental Conservation Specialist

Overview of the Role

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a large-scale transmission infrastructure project, focusing on delivering environmental outcomes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project-specific environmental management plans and strategies.
  • Provide on-site environmental support, training, and guidance to construction teams.
  • Conduct regular environmental inspections, audits, and monitoring to ensure compliance with regulations and legislation.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including regulators, community members, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare comprehensive environmental reports, records, and documentation in line with project and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the infrastructure, utilities, or construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to conduct monitoring, inspections, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Australian citizenship or full working rights in Australia.
  • Current driver's license and construction white card (mandatory).
  • Flexibility to work regionally and support site-based teams.
