Cardiac Technologist Role Overview

This is a key position within our healthcare team, requiring the application of electrocardiogram expertise to support patient care and diagnostic processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and interpreting ECGs, as well as recording and analyzing ECG and hemodynamic measurements during cardiac catheterisation procedures.

In addition to these tasks, the Cardiac Technologist will be expected to assist with cardiac device implants, electrophysiological studies, and the interrogation of implanted cardiac devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders). They will also be required to provide expert advice to physicians regarding observed abnormalities in both in-person and remote monitoring settings.

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree, accompanied by post-graduate qualifications in electrophysiology or CIED, or demonstrated competencies deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Proven ability to rapidly identify and document abnormal ECG and pressure waveforms.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of advanced life support principles.
