Mathematics Department Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Mathematics teacher and a motivated leader to join our faculty as the Assistant Head of Department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for Mathematics education, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to inspire students to pursue their studies in both the classroom and through co-curricular experiences.

About the Role

As the Assistant Head of Department, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Department in the continuous improvement and delivery of the Mathematics curriculum across Years 7 -12.

This includes:

  • Developing and implementing effective strategies to improve student outcomes in Mathematics
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and deliver high-quality curriculum materials
  • Providing guidance and support to teachers to ensure consistency in teaching practices

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our school's Positive Education program and work closely with our IB World School team to integrate the IB Diploma Programme into our Mathematics curriculum.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience teaching Year 7-12 Mathematics
  • A strong interest in developing as an educational leader
  • Experience or a willingness to learn about the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme
  • The ability to successfully integrate ICT into the classroom
  • The ability to differentiate in the delivery of curriculum
  • A flexible and collegial approach to working within a team
