Train Conductors play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, smooth operation, and enjoyment of passenger journeys.

About the Role

This is an opportunity for a mature and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Train Conductor. As a key member of the Operations Group, you will be responsible for guaranteeing every journey meets the highest standards of service quality.

Your role will involve:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and information to passengers face-to-face and via the public address system
  • Ensuring trains are ready for service, from cleanliness to functionality
  • Handling ticket sales, checking tickets, and providing fare advice during train services
  • Overseeing train departures and assisting with luggage at stations
  • Managing coaches during planned and unplanned disruptions and events
  • Fault reporting and emergency management

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Certificate 3 in Customer Rail Operations or equivalent, a valid Victorian Driver's License, and strong verbal and written communication skills. You will also need to be available for shift work, including early morning starts.

  • Available to complete comprehensive training in Melbourne (Monday to Friday)
