About the Role

This is a high-profile opportunity to lead multiple electrical projects across Rio Tinto's Pilbara operations, reporting directly to the Principal of Fixed Plant – Mechanical & Process category. As a Program Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies for delivering projects, ensuring seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Create a comprehensive program charter outlining the strategy for delivering electrical projects, aligning with RTIO Pilbara operations' objectives.
  • Execution Planning: Collaborate with Study Leads to develop program and project execution plans, covering pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, implementation, and commissioning phases.
  • Project Coordination: Oversee the coordination of electrical projects across RTIO Pilbara operations, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with site leaders, asset owners, contracting partners, and vendors/service providers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with Delivery Superintendents to ensure projects receive adequate support and resources.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A commitment to safety, demonstrated by your experience working in hazardous environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and strategic thinking skills, with experience in leading multiple scopes of work synergistically.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate efforts between projects.
  • A thorough understanding of project, program, and design management principles, with experience in electrical package management and program management.
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or equivalent, with experience in D7 functional safety, process control, and process optimisation.
What We Offer

Rio Tinto offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits including:
