About the Job

This 6-month parental leave coverage position as Restaurant Manager at our Port Douglas location offers a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team and drive business growth. As a key member of our Food and Beverage operations, you will be responsible for managing daily activities, including recruitment, training, rostering staff, and ensuring seamless customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Food and Beverage outlet, including setup, cleaning, and maintenance schedules
  • Lead a team of staff, coordinate breaks, and ensure excellent customer service
  • Manage floor staff during functions, events, and meetings
  • Responsible for staff performance, product quality, and sales reconciliation
  • Effectively perform all duties related to F&B services, including restaurant operations and owner/guest services

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to recognize problems in the workplace
  • Previous experience in a similar management position, with knowledge of OH&S and chemical handling
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Responsibility Service of Alcohol Certification and Food Handling Certification
