Senior Full Stack Developer (Java) Role

A 12-month contract with potential for extension is available for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join Aon, a global professional services firm. The estimated salary for this role is AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Java developer to join our agile and high-performing development team as a Senior Full Stack Developer. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and testing software solutions for our business-critical platform.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and design software solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Develop and test software applications using Java and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with technical business analysts, technical lead, business colleagues, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.
  • Participate in scrum activities to continuously improve the development process and delivery.
  • Deliver and deploy new features, defect fixes, and system enhancements.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in Programming Languages such as Java, Java SpringBoot, Groovy, Typescript, Javascript, Angular.
  • Experience in Software testing (Unit, System, Integration, Functional, and Performance).
  • Hands-on experience with Application Development Tools such as Intellij, Gradle.
  • Experience in working in Linux/Unix shell environment and tooling.
  • Experience in using version control tools such as GIT.
  • Knowledge in SDLC Methodologies such as Agile and experience in working in an Agile Environment.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server Databases.
  • Expert in implementation of API Integrations / web services – SOAP, REST.
  • Dev Ops – Teamcity / Octopus or similar.
  • Good fundamental knowledge on Core Design Patterns, such as observable, layered.
