As a senior merchandise planner, you will lead the planning function and oversee all aspects of merchandise strategies. You will provide expertise to inform merchandising decisions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support the growth of the assistant planner.
- Manage and develop the planning function, leading to successful outcomes.
- Oversee and implement effective seasonal planning and inventory management processes.
- Influence stakeholders, partners, and functions to ensure business objectives are met.
- Prepare and present trade packs and oversee weekly trade actions.
- Develop and manage promotional plans from a product perspective to achieve business goals.
- Own pricing action models, including repeats, markdowns, and reversion models.
- Control markdown budgets and ensure total company markdowns are within agreed levels.
- Oversee core inventory planning management and negotiate cost prices.
- Work alongside the data team to own the WSSI, including weekly updates and circulation of tracking updates versus LAFC.
- A highly collaborative and enthusiastic candidate with prior experience in a senior merchandise planning role.
- Prior experience within fashion retail or retail is advantageous.
- Initiative to recognize potential problems early and resolution skills to implement solutions accordingly.
- Familiarity with SQL/BigQuery is advantageous but not essential.
