Key Responsibilities- Assisting with Judgment Production: The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the production of judgments, including proofreading and editing.
- Court Clerking: The Associate will be required to clerk in court, ensuring the smooth operation of the judicial process.
- File Review and Management: The candidate will be responsible for reviewing files and orders, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with court procedures.
- Administrative Support: The Associate will provide administrative support to the judge, including preparing material for use in court and maintaining court records.
- Research and Analysis: The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing research memoranda and providing analysis to support the judge's decision-making.
- Interpersonal Communication: The Associate will be required to liaise with court staff, the public, the media, and the profession, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Legal Qualifications: The successful candidate must be qualified in Law and have a strong academic record.
- Experience: At least two years post-admission experience in the litigation department of a law firm (or similar) is desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for this role.
