Materials and Processes Engineer

The role involves providing essential support for diverse portfolios of commercial and military fixed and rotary-wing aircraft programs. Key responsibilities include developing, approving, and delivering safe, practical, and agile design solutions.

A successful candidate will leverage their expertise in materials to contribute directly to airworthiness and longevity of critical aerospace assets.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Developing and approving design solutions for aircraft components using knowledge of aerospace materials, including composites, aluminium, titanium, steel, and corrosion-resistant alloys.
    • Providing technical support for the development of new designs and repairs, including troubleshooting and investigation skills.
    • Familiarity with industry standards, such as MIL specs, SAE, etc.
    • Good understanding of Continued and Continuing airworthiness.
    • Familiarity with applicable aviation legislation and regulations, as well as industry best practices.
  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor of Materials Engineering/Science or equivalent.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build lasting, collaborative relationships with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
