About the Role

We are seeking a Casual Venue and Functions Assistant to join our Events Team at Blacktown City Council.

This role is responsible for the ongoing support of setup and operations of functions and events at Council-owned function centres, and other Council events where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders
  • Assist with the setup and operation of functions and events
  • Ensure the highest level of cleanliness and presentation of function centres and event spaces
  • Work collaboratively with the Events Team to deliver high-quality events

Requirements

  • Minimum 12-months of experience in a similar role
  • Provide First Aid certificate
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • Solid working experience in cash handling, cleaning, room set up, stage setup, and customer service
  • Strong understanding of and/or experience in hospitality (food and beverage) operations including front of house, kitchen, and bar
  • Experience working within a dynamic team environment
  • Available to work flexible working hours during the week and on weekends
