Assembly Line Technician Role

We are looking for an experienced Assembly Line Technician to join our production team. This is a full-time position working on the SMT production line, assembling and inspecting electronic components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate SMT production line equipment, including soldering machines and automated optical inspection (AOI) machines.
  • Perform quality control checks on assembled components to ensure they meet IPC standards.
  • Replenish supplies and components as needed, and perform job changeovers efficiently.
  • Operate selective soldering machines and check own work to prevent defects.
  • Modify machine programs as required and log time taken for tasks against jobs.
  • Routine cleaning and minor maintenance of equipment.

Requirements:

  • Recognised tertiary qualification in electronics/electrotechnology engineering or related field.
  • At least 1+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Strong eye-hand coordination, vision, and manual dexterity to assemble and inspect small objects.
  • Trained in ESD safety and IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Able to perform basic tasks on a computer and have experience with Selective Solder process.
  • Familiarity with clean room requirements and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
