Nursing Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical ward team at Shellharbour Hospital.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve positive health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred, evidence-based nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards and policies.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the healthcare team.
  • Work effectively in therapeutic relationships with patients, families, groups, and communities.
  • Support less experienced clinicians through supervision and mentorship.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Vaccination requirements for Category A roles.
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance.

About the Facility:

Shellharbour Hospital is a busy acute care facility offering emergency services, elective surgical services, general medicine, antenatal, and primary family health care. It is an accredited facility with the Australian Council on Health Care Standards (ACHS). The hospital is located on Dharawal Country, approximately 1.5 hours south of Sydney.
