Nurse Unit Manager

We are seeking a highly passionate, dynamic and engaging Nurse Unit Manager within a mental health inpatient facility.
As a department Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide operational direction of the ward by ensuring efficient and effective fiscal management and promote high quality clinical care for our patients.
As the leader of this unit, you will be a key part of the hospital's management team and will provide support to the Director of Nursing and the General Manager Great Location Exciting opportunities within Mental Health Mental Health adult general services – Brand new facility About us The Victoria Clinic is currently a 115 patient-bed private psychiatric facility located on Malvern Road in Prahran.
This architecturally designed, purpose-built mental health facility specialises in the provision of high-quality inpatient mental health services.

As a Nurse Unit Manager – Mental Health your responsibilities will include: Providing operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management Coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment Providing guidance, mentoring and support to your team Be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources Undertaking direct patient care, as required Compliance with ACQSHC National standards Current Registration with AHPRARegistered Nurse with at least 5 years' experience in inpatient mental health settings Knowledge of NSQHS/ACHS Standards Understanding of Ho NOSProven experience building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders Demonstrate a good knowledge base in labour management Understand the requirements of private health funding Excellent verbal and written communication skills A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases Ability to work cohesively within a team environment Why Healthscope?We care about your career at Healthscope.

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2021-2025".
