We're a fast-growing Australian scale-up reimagining business banking and payments. Our goal is to provide access to smarter payments and financial services solutions that accelerate cash flow, help businesses get paid faster, and give them a better understanding of their finances.

We're building the tools to make this happen and are looking for an experienced engineer to join our Zeller mobile team, which owns the IOS and Android app that enables Australian businesses to accept payments and interact with their finances.

Key Responsibilities
The React Native team is responsible for the mobile app experience for Zeller's merchants. Our multi-platform app is the gateway for customers to manage payment acceptance, cards, spend, and accounts. It is built primarily in React Native with native bridging where required.

As a lead engineer in this team, you will:
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and domain experts to translate product requirements into technical designs and build solutions that champion the customer.
- Collaborate with our native application teams to build cross-platform solutions to our most essential services, including payments acceptance.
- Translate business and product requirements into technical designs and be part of a culture that prioritises ownership from hands-on implementation, through testing, deployment, and production operation.

Requirements
Zeller uses a modern and evolving technical stack, including Typescript, React Native, GraphQL, and a serverless API backend. To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A strong understanding of core Javascript/typescript and experience building complex mobile applications for large audiences.
- Experience working in a product-driven team with an ability to put yourself in the customer's shoes and understand how your work helps them accomplish their mission.
- Experience working in a team with robust development practices that include unit testing, static code analysis, and code reviews.
