Job Title: Mechanical Engineering TechnicianKey Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed drawings and plans for mechanical engineering projects under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and modify mechanical equipment, machinery, and plant components for client projects.
  • Recommend and procure appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for workshop and site operations.
  • Assemble and install new and modified mechanical assemblies, machine tools, and hydraulic/pneumatic power systems.
  • Estimate material costs, quantities, and machine requirements to support project planning and scheduling.
  • Conduct field and workshop tests on fabricated components and mechanical systems to verify compliance.
  • Collect and analyze technical data, perform calculations, and prepare engineering diagrams and reports.
  • Organize and supervise inspection and maintenance activities for machines and plant to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (or equivalent qualification).
  • Prior experience in an engineering workshop or metal fabrication environment, with exposure to plant, machinery, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply mechanical design principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools is advantageous.
