About the Job:

  • Diagnose and detect faults in engines and parts using computerized and electronic equipment.
  • Test and adjust mechanical components for optimal performance.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance as per repair orders, replacing worn parts and reassembling components.
  • Courteously interact with customers and suppliers daily.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to achieve smoother vehicle operation and compliance with pollution regulations.
  • Reassemble engines and parts after repair.
  • Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve road worthiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components.
  • Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements:

  • AQF Certificate III including at least two years on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
  • Ability to work full time (38 hours per week).
  • Demonstrated passion about the automotive industry.
  • Flexible availability for working additional hours on rotating roster as per business requirements.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
