About the Role

We are seeking passionate and qualified Information Technology educators to join our team of dedicated professionals in the ACT Education Directorate. As an IT teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our future generations and contributing to the growth and development of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Information Technology to students in secondary schools across the ACT
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and educational programs

Eligibility Requirements
  • Education qualifications: A four-year full-time tertiary education qualification
  • Teacher registration: A valid approval to teach with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI)
  • Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration: A valid ACT WWVP
  • Approved working status: Be an Australian citizen and/or be permanent resident and/or hold a valid working visa
