
Cardiology Specialist Training Opportunity

**About the Role**
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior medical trainee to develop their clinical skills and experience in echocardiography at a leading tertiary institution. As an unaccredited advanced trainee, you will work under the supervision of a consultant attending medical officer who has legal responsibility for patient care.
**Key Responsibilities**
Your main responsibilities will include providing patient care, supervising junior medical staff, and assisting and supervising basic physician trainees allocated to the department. You will also be required to communicate regularly with cardiology junior medical staff, nursing staff, allied health professionals, secretarial staff, general practitioners, and other relevant stakeholders.
**Requirements**
- MBBS or equivalent degree, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Completion of at least three postgraduate years.
- Successful completion of the RACP Part 1 and enrollment with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing education, excellent theoretical knowledge, and clinical judgment, research, and teaching in Cardiology with a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and expert clinical care.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical team – diligence, punctuality, organization, and record-keeping skills are essential.
