Empowering Individuals with Mental Health Challenges
">This role involves providing person-centred support to individuals living with psychosocial disabilities and/or mental health conditions.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Provide practical, emotional, and social support to clients with psychosocial disabilities.">
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and domestic tasks.">
- Support clients to develop independent living skills and engage in social, recreational, or vocational activities.">
- Assist with implementation of behaviour support strategies and recovery-oriented practices.">
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation including progress notes and incident reports.">
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other health professionals.">
- Support participants to exercise choice and control over their lives in alignment with the NDIS Practice Standards.">
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for clients at all times.">
- Adhere to organisational policies, the NDIS Code of Conduct, and relevant legislation.">
Required Skills and Qualifications:
">- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Mental Health, Community Services, or a related field.">
- Understanding of mental health conditions, recovery principles, and trauma-informed care.">
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.">
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.">
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.">
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).">
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.">
Benefits:
">This casual position offers a competitive hourly rate of $43.00 - $45.00 per hour.
