This role involves providing person-centred support to individuals living with psychosocial disabilities and/or mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Provide practical, emotional, and social support to clients with psychosocial disabilities.">
  • Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and domestic tasks.">
  • Support clients to develop independent living skills and engage in social, recreational, or vocational activities.">
  • Assist with implementation of behaviour support strategies and recovery-oriented practices.">
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation including progress notes and incident reports.">
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other health professionals.">
  • Support participants to exercise choice and control over their lives in alignment with the NDIS Practice Standards.">
  • Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for clients at all times.">
  • Adhere to organisational policies, the NDIS Code of Conduct, and relevant legislation.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

">
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Mental Health, Community Services, or a related field.">
  • Understanding of mental health conditions, recovery principles, and trauma-informed care.">
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.">
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.">
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.">
  • Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).">
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.">
