Are you looking for a challenging role in airport security? This is an exciting opportunity to work at Perth Airport as an Aviation Protection Officer.
About the Job:- We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to ensure the safety and security of air travel by implementing consistent and standard security practices
- The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling access to security-sensitive areas, undertaking physical searches, and identifying weapons, explosives, and prohibited items
- Efficiently coordinating the flow of passengers through security screening is also a key aspect of this role
- Demonstrating effective communication and sound decision-making skills is essential in this position
- Providing consistent high-quality customer service is also a priority
- Experience in customer service or a keen interest in working in a dynamic airport environment is preferred
- A willingness to commit to complete company-provided training to gain a Certificate II in Transport Security Protection is required
- Ability to successfully pass drug and alcohol screening and medical assessments is necessary
- Ability to obtain an ASIC (Criminal history clearance in the past 10 years), which will be paid for, is also required
- A WA Security License is highly desired but not essential
- Holding an unrestricted driver's license and having own reliable vehicle is a must
- Availability to work across a 24/7 rotational roster is required
- An initial hourly rate of $28.91 per hour + penalties is offered
- An Aviation allowance of $2.11 for every hour worked is also provided
- A Certificate II In Transport Security Protection (TSP) is included as part of the job
- Ongoing learning and development through our experienced training department is available
- Free car parking is included for all staff whilst on shift
