Trainer Painter

About the Role:

As a highly skilled painter and educator, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing training activities for students studying the Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.

The role primarily involves an on-the-job apprenticeship model with trade training centre delivery for specific sections of their studies.

You will need to travel to building and construction sites for pre-arranged training and assessment activities, and associated travel expenses will be reimbursed by the organisation.

A region to be supported may be up to 75km from the location of the successful applicant.

Your key responsibilities include:

• The delivery and assessment of the CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating qualification, either on-site with students in our trades training centres or in full focus
• Consulting key clients on their existing and future workforce training needs and supporting the enrolment process for new apprentices
• Working with the Training Operations team to schedule on-site training and assessment activities
• Liaising with employers, apprenticeship support networks, and other stakeholders regarding the promotion of and enrolment into apprenticeships offered, and the progress of apprentices completing their studies

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Experience working as a qualified painter across varied building sites and projects
• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification (or approved equivalent)
• CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualifications, or sufficient and current vocational competence for a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process
• Holding a valid driver's licence and vehicle to travel to building sites
• An operational current working knowledge of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015 (RTO Standards) in relation to training and assessment activity
• The ability to meet ASQA Fit & Proper persons requirements and not be a disallowed person under Victorian funding contract obligations
