Job Description

The NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure is seeking multiple Land Valuation Specialists to join their In House Rating and Taxing teams.

  • Determine land valuations using a mass valuation system for rating and taxing purposes under the Valuation of Land Act, 1916 (Act).
  • Evaluate objection valuations for all types of land valuations in line with the Act.
  • Predetermine compulsory acquisition valuations to determine the compensation to be awarded under the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Associate membership with the Australian Property Institute with Certified Practicing Valuer designation or equivalent (or be eligible to obtain within 12 months of employment).
  • A current driver license and willingness to travel.
