We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our warehouse team as a Meat Department Assistant. This role is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the meat department, ensuring exceptional member service, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining the operational standards of the meat department, including inspecting and assembling equipment.
  • Work with the team to create visually appealing display cases and rotate merchandise to ensure maximum visibility and sales.
  • Process large quantities of product using an automatic wrapping machine and follow proper procedures for labeling and stocking merchandise.
  • Clean and sanitize the area throughout the day, adhering to health codes and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP).
  • Operate a meat grinder while following proper department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to members, employees, and vendors.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate information clearly and concisely.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to identify issues and find solutions that align with Costco's Code of Ethics.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assignments.
  • Ability to lift heavy items routinely and work closing shifts as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Food handling experience.
  • Customer service or comparable experience.
Salary Estimate:

The estimated salary range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
