Dabetes Educator RD
About the Role:
The Diabetes Care Specialist provides comprehensive nutrition care for individuals with diabetes. Their responsibilities include delivering medical nutrition therapy, diabetes self-management training, and counseling patients and their families on healthy lifestyle choices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with American Diabetes Association Recognition standards.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance quality outcomes and provide educational resources.
- Document and bill services within the electronic medical record.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote wellness and disease prevention.
Qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian or eligible for registration
- Experience in providing medical nutrition therapy to patients with diabetes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
