About this role
Water Treatment SpecialistWe are seeking a skilled Water Treatment Specialist to join our infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for treating water entering the plant to meet regulatory standards.
- Treat water to meet strict quality standards by regulating flow through stages of treatment and using proper methods to monitor for unclean water.
- Ensure safe execution of water treatment processes while complying with all relevant safety regulations.
- Use appropriate chemicals to treat water and wastewater, take samples, and monitor water quality.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating a treatment plant, preferably in a remote environment. A Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or relevant experience is also required.
Skill Requirements- Operational skills: Ability to follow processes and procedures, observational skills, and attention to detail are essential.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations: Understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to read and understand water treatment plant schematics, manuals, and other documents.
- Technical knowledge: Demonstrated experience with SCADA including the ability to analyse trends, knowledge about water treatment process, chemicals, filtration, and other aspects of water treatment.
