About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team at AECOM. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will be responsible for developing deliverables ranging from factual condition investigation reports to presentation of analysis and design documentation in accordance with TfNSW and Australian standards.

As a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in Water, Transportation, and/or Energy infrastructure projects, you will possess a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices. Your ability to coach team members in the delivery of engineering outcomes, while leading in the selection of appropriate techniques, procedures, and methods, will be essential in driving project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality engineering solutions for Water, Transportation, and/or Energy infrastructure projects
  • Lead and oversee the development of structural analysis and design documentation
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers to ensure the delivery of engineering outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar
  • Extensive years of relevant engineering experience with a focus on Water, Transportation, and/or Energy infrastructure projects
  • Strong relationships with existing clients and a drive to win work
  • Ability to lead and coach team members in the delivery of engineering outcomes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
