Job Overview

As the central figure in our maintenance operations, you will oversee all aspects of site upkeep, ensuring a high standard of service and compliance with regulations.

  • Oversee the entire spectrum of maintenance activities across the site, focusing on both reactive and scheduled tasks to meet set timeframes.
  • Manage resident repair requests from initiation through to completion, aiming for minimal disruption and maximum satisfaction.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of skilled Maintenance Technicians – including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and daily supervision.
  • Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies to ensure buildings, equipment, and systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
  • Conduct regular inspections of apartments, communal areas, systems, and external spaces to uphold safety standards, appearance, and functionality.
  • Manage regulatory compliance checks, maintaining accurate records of fire alarms, emergency lighting, HVAC systems, and water testing.
  • Coordinate external contractors and suppliers, ensuring all work meets scope, quality, safety, and budget expectations, along with proper documentation.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance issues outside regular hours, taking ownership of resolutions and providing timely assistance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to optimize budget planning and control, monitoring maintenance spend, sourcing materials cost-effectively, and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Champion a welcoming and well-maintained living environment, working closely with colleagues to enhance the student experience.
